Binibeca is situated on the south coast, 4 km from Sant Lluis and 8 km from the capital Mao (Mahon) , and stretches from Cala Torret marking the eastern extreme (although this boundary is now being blurred as building starts in the area knows as S'Atalaya along the coast between Cala Torret and Biniancola), to Binibèquer Vell, the famous fisherman's village, but in some holiday brochures this is stretched to include Binisafua and Binnidali. . It´s called Poblat de Pescadors, a development built to resemble a traditional "fishing village". The design may be artificial but the maze of narrow streets, whitewashed dwellings and Moorish arches are authentically Menorcan.

Cala Torret is a pedestrian village of low rise fisherman's style apartments about 500 meters from Binibèquer beach, behind it and stretching up the gentle hill side is Binibèquer nou an area of privately owned villas with public tennis courts in the middle
